When they said to size down I didn't think it would be true. I'm 5'9" and wear typically a size 10 or 30. I went with the size 29 and there is room still to sit and not feel like I'm busting at the seams. I love the barrel leg even though I'm not sure how this style can be flattering. These jeans are so cute!! They’re not an exaggerated barrel leg, but still have an interesting shape. They hit just above the ankle for me at 5’8, which is perfect. I normally wear a 29 or 30 in other jeans but sized down to 28, probably could have gone with a 27 (first pair of Risen for me).
