Meet The Founders
Social Threads is owned and operated by Sara Reardon and Maureen Coyle. Sara was a previous buyer for Bloomingdale's and Maureen was a former Wall Street executive. They’re not sisters by blood, but they are by law (sisters-in-law to be precise)! And are definitely bonded by their love of fun, affordable, quality clothing! As full-time moms (3 kids each) they know what it is like to be busy and have very little time to shop....
Where It All Started
Sara and Maureen always shared their search for affordable, high quality, unique clothing for their family-centric lifestyle (weekends at the beach, school pickups, hanging on the sidelines, and date nights!). Their frustration with the lack of one-stop shopping led to the creation of Social Threads. Social Threads started with a pop-up at friends houses along with a small website. Then as orders stacked up we began picking and packing out Maureen's basement with the help of family & friends.
A small dream shared between Sara and Maureen, has now grown into an incredible all-female team, a showroom and a warehouse. Although we may have grown in size, we have the same values at heart - women should feel great in the clothes they wear without sacrificing style.
